Dearborn’s Jersey Fresh Corn and Tomatoes now starting to arrive!

Agriculture Secretary Charles M. Kuperus today announced that Jersey Fresh tomatoes and sweet corn grown by the Garden State’s hard-working farmers will be available for the 4th of July weekend at most community farmers markets and farm stands in time for the holiday weekend.

Lack of early frost, cooler than normal May temperatures and cool nights had corn and tomato crops off to a slow start, but warmer June nights helped put the crops back on track and the crop is harvesting at the normal time. Learn More >

Cooking Classes

Looking to expand your cooking skills in a gourmet cooking kitchen with a class that is both informative and fun? Dearborn's Head Chef Scott will be taking interested participants on a cooking adventure starting with our first class A Feast from the Mediterranean on Friday, August 14th from 7-9pm. It will include cold soups, appetizers, a main course and sides along with a dessert.

Classes are kept to a maximum of 12 individuals so that each person receives the utmost attention. Each participant will be making something different for all to enjoy at the end of the class with tables set up buffet style in our Deli. This existing and informative evening is $80.00 per person. Each cooking class includes: all the cooking implements and prepared fresh ingredients you will need to prepare your dish; expert instruction by Chef Scott and his assistant; table settings and disposable serving wear; a delightful selection of beverages; an embroidered Dearborn Market apron to wear during your cooking class then take home along with the recipes from that evening's cooking class.

Dearborn Market will be offering our Customer Loyalty Card Program again this summer!

If you did not have the opportunity to completely fill your old card with 10 stamps and receive a $25.00 Dearborn Gift card before March 31, 2009, we do have some special news. We will be introducing the Dearborn Loyalty Card program again this summer starting on July 1, 2009 and running through September 30th, 2009. Simply bring your filled out Spring Dearborn Market Loyalty Card with a minimum of one stamp to any register and we will issue you a NEW loyalty card and 2 FREE stamps that will allow you to begin our new program with a head start on July 1, 2009. Spring cards will not be able to be redeemed for the new program after June 28, 2009. You may obtain a new Summer Customer Loyalty Card from any cashier during normal business hours regardless if you have an old card to redeem or not.

The program will remain the same as our Spring Loyalty Card promotion. Simply spend $40.00 or more per visit and you will receive ONE stamp. After you receive 10 stamps, you may redeem your card for a $25.00 Dearborn Gift Card!

Trip to Longwood Gardens a Day to Remember!

Here is what two winners of our Enter to Win a trip to Longwood Gardens had to say:

A " Big Thank You" to Dearborn for giving us the wonderful day at Longwood Gardens! Randall and Brian treated us royally! Their goal was to give us a "Day to Remember" and they certainly accomplished that goal. It was fun to enter the contest but being a winner certainly was a great surprise!

Right from the start of the day with the delightful Continental Breakfast, then the luxury Coach, the one hour guided tour, the gourmet picnic box, free time to explore, and the snack box for the ride home and even the dancing rainstorm on the ride home was truly enjoyed by the entire group. To those who planned the raffle and the trip and those who covered the expense and certainly to Randall and Brian, I and my husband thank you for such a fun outing as we celebrated our 49th Wedding Anniversary.

I wanted to write you personally to thank you for the wonderful day I had at Longwood Gardens on Saturday. I had the distinct pleasure of being a guest on Dearborn Market’s trip and I wanted to let you know just how fantastic it was and how grateful I am to have been included.

I had often heard about Longwood gardens but had never before visited. Words cannot do Longwood Gardens justice! They were more magnificent than I could have imagined! The trees, blossoms and fountains are visions that I will always treasure. I have been to gardens in both Italy and France but have found a new favorite to treasure. Thank you so much!

Thanks also to the Dearborn representative on the trip, Randall Miller and Brian. They were extremely personable and saw to every detail of the trip. Everything ran smoothly thanks to their conscientious efforts. They are certainly to be commended. All of the food provided was up to your standards – truly delicious.

This was a treat for all involved and I laud your efforts to sponsor such events for your customers. It was a way to both give back and create good will, two wise investments for any business.
